There are currently five (5) voting members of the Board of Directors. Per Oxford Preparatory Academy’s Seventh Amended bylaws, the current board is seeking to expand membership to seven (7) voting members.
In accordance with the OPA Board bylaws, each director holds office for four (4) years and until a successor director has been designated and qualified. As part of the election process, the Board will accept applications from interested parties such as parents and community members.

About the OPA Executive Board of Directors
The governing body for OPA is the Oxford Preparatory Academy Board of Directors. Desired areas of expertise to fulfill the mission and vision of Oxford Preparatory Academy for students among the board members include: education management and instruction, real estate and construction, public relations and marketing, business, grant writing, school development, legal services, accounting and school finance, nonprofit community development and nonprofit compliance.
The Board of Directors meet monthly, and as needed, for the purpose of organization, appointment of officers, and the transaction of such other business as may properly be brought before the meeting. These meetings are held at a time, date, and place as noticed by the Board of Directors in accordance with the Brown Act. Meeting locations rotate between the territorial jurisdictions of each OPA charter school.
