Excitement was in the air across the Oxford Prep Saddleback Valley campus on Wednesday as our energetic students, teachers, and staff participated in an all-school celebration known as “Honor Mods”.
The name “Honour Mods”, inspired by Oxford University, is usually held at the end of the first set of examinations or at the end of the first year at Oxford. Recognizing academic success and creating a positive culture for students is an integral part of Oxford Prep’s philosophy. As shared in our Parent Handbook, whenever Oxford Preparatory Academy reaches or surpasses a school testing goal, students are rewarded.
Made possible by the collaborative efforts of Oxford’s Advisory Council, school administrators, and OPA, Honour Mods transformed the fields of our Lake Forest campus into a carnival, complete with a ferris wheel, student-friendly rides, an obstacle course, circus jump, a rock climbing wall, games, prizes, food booths, and so much more!
“We never want to underestimate the importance of celebrating and today marked a milestone for our inaugural year. Congratulations Champions, your celebration was well-deserved, not to mention a whole lot of fun!” – Tammy Lohoff, Chancellor
In recognition of extraordinary Grade Level Achievements on the 2017 California Assessment of Student Progress and Performance (CAASPP) test, which resulted in both Oxford Prep Orange County schools earning the #1 rankings in their respective school districts, the Oxford Prep Saddleback Valley Advisory Council and school is honored to have provided this celebration for our deserving Champions!
