Dear OPA Families:
I hope all of you had a safe, fun and not-too-scary Halloween this week! We are now only a couple of weeks out from a well-deserved break for the Thanksgiving holiday. Before then, however, there are a couple of items to update you on as we head into next week.
Committee members overseeing the OPA-SOC MOU process will meet on Wednesday, November 7, from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at OPA-SOC. The discussion will include updates on completed items as well as plans and progress on items to be completed before the end of the year. Everyone is invited to attend.
As I have mentioned several times over the last couple of months, we have been working with the YMCA of Orange County to provide before and after school childcare services at both campuses. I am pleased to let you know that the YMCA has begun enrolling students in the OPA-SV program and plans to start operating before the Thanksgiving holiday. For those of you who are interested, feel free to contact the OPA-SV school office for more information about how to enroll your student. The YMCA will be operating programs at both campuses per their usual schedule Monday through Wednesday during the week of Thanksgiving. Students who are enrolled in the program are welcome to participate.
Finally, this is the weekend we “roll back” our clocks to Standard Time. Remember to set your clocks back an hour on Saturday night before you go to bed and enjoy that extra hour of sleep.
Have a wonderful weekend!
